The garages I totally get. I’ve moved around from Georgia to Tennessee to Texas. And it’s just hail and wind and tornadoes and more hail for a good portion of the year in all those places. There have been many times where parking in my garage saved my car from serious and costly damage.
What I don’t get is why most Americans have so much junk in their two-car garage they have to park their two cars in the driveway. Do they really need all that junk? Is it really better to have so much crap that you don’t even know what it is collecting dust in your garage than a sheltered spot for your car? I think my husband and I are the only people in our whole neighborhood who actually park in the garage. That, I don’t get.
